producing in texas

What producing in Texas involves.

Heat is the first thing we plan for outdoors: shade, cooling and power for gear and guests, and schedules that avoid the hottest hours where possible.

Venue rules vary widely across the state. Some venues have exclusive contractors for rigging, power or AV; others let you bring your own team. We confirm which applies before we quote.

Race weekends and festivals fill hotels, crew and rental inventory fast and add credentials to every load-in. We book early and plan around access windows and road closures.

site visits

We see the venue before we plan the show.

Texas venues range from racetracks to factory floors. We walk each one first, so heat, distances, access windows and safety rules are in the plan before anyone travels.

  • Walk the venue. Power, rigging points, sightlines, load-in path and where the crew can actually stage.
  • Meet the house team. In-house AV, the event manager and the engineer, before anyone signs.
  • Read the fine print. Labor rules, exclusives and fees go into the plan and the budget up front.

Big AV quotes are written by the company that sells the gear, the labor and the add-ons. We don't own a warehouse or rent equipment, so our only interest is the right show at a fair price. Send the plan or quote for your Texas show, or just get on a call. A producer takes a look and tells you honestly whether we can do it better. If we don't think so, we'll say that too.

Texas production questions.

Do you produce at Circuit of the Americas?

Yes. We've supported AWS activations at Circuit of the Americas during the Formula 1 race weekend for multiple years, working within the track's credentials and compound rules.

Can you shoot inside a working factory or plant?

Yes. We shot videos inside a pillow manufacturing facility in Dallas. We plan around production lines, safety requirements and the plant's schedule.

Do you produce during SXSW?

Yes. See our SXSW and Austin page for events and activations during South by Southwest.

How do travel costs work?

Everything, travel included, is scoped and priced before you approve the budget. We don't mark up travel. It's billed at cost, plus the necessary per diem. See where we produce. Taking the show from Austin to Dallas and beyond? See Texas-to-anywhere roadshows.
